Start in two weeks, impact in four
In interim engagements, speed isn't a bonus — it's the deliverable. I start within two weeks and produce measurable results in the first four — before the first steering committee meets.
Interim Manager · AI & Marketing Automation · available from 1 September 2026
Seven years as an entrepreneur in the digital business — from zero to roughly one million euros in annual revenue, with full P&L responsibility. As an interim manager I support companies from the inside: putting the right systems, vendors and processes in place — with internal and external staff, until everything runs.

Where I fit
Every engagement starts with a sentence I hear, in one form or another, from managing directors. Behind each one is a clear role — and a measurable result. The problem is rarely the will: what's missing is someone who has built it before.
Interim Head of Marketing
I align marketing to pipeline: demand strategy, lead routing, shared reporting with sales. Success is measured in qualified opportunities, not impressions.
AI & Automation Lead
Around 95% of GenAI pilots never reach production. I prioritise the use cases with ROI, build the processes behind them, put quality and approval gates in place — including governance under the EU AI Act — and enable the team. LLM integration built myself: Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini connected to HubSpot, workflows and data.
CRM & System Rollout
I own rollout and adoption: process design, migration, training, governance. A dozen HubSpot implementations, taken all the way to daily use — not just to go-live.
Vendor Management
I spent seven years costing work on the agency side and know what performance should cost. I consolidate vendors, renegotiate scope and price, and manage them through clear KPIs.
Bridging a Vacancy
I take the lead from day one: stabilise the team, protect running campaigns, set priorities — and hand over to the successor in a structured way, including documented processes.
Build & Restructuring
I build the organisation that fits the growth: roles, processes, systems, reporting — reinforced by my expert network where internal staff is missing. Structures that keep running without me.
How I work
In interim engagements, speed isn't a bonus — it's the deliverable. I start within two weeks and produce measurable results in the first four — before the first steering committee meets.
Around 95% of AI pilot projects never go live. That's exactly where my work begins: prioritising use cases by ROI, building the processes behind them, putting quality and approval gates in place.
Every interim engagement is a change engagement. New systems rarely fail on the technology, almost always on adoption — so I bring along the people who work with them every day.
An engagement ends successfully when your team carries on without me: documented processes, trained users, clear responsibilities — including AI governance under the EU AI Act.
Career
Responsibility for several locations in the Cologne/Bonn area — revenue steering, people management, point-of-sale marketing. Repeatedly recognised for sales performance.
Sales leadership by the numbers · Multi-site responsibility · Retail marketing
Built an organisation of up to 50 sales partners — recruiting, onboarding, steering and development under my own responsibility.
Recruiting & people development · Scaling sales structures · Negotiation

Company building · Brand leadership · P&L · AI transformation
The same building work at greater scale: leading your marketing organisation and accelerating its growth with AI processes — as an interim engagement or, where the fit is right, in a permanent role.
Request a conversation →Who I am
In 2019 I founded Werk von Morgen as a one-man operation and grew it into a GmbH with a core team of up to ten people plus a freelancer pool — four consecutive years of growth, every hire led personally.
The turning point: instead of simply hiring more people, I planned and built AI automation and marketing systems myself — for my own agency and for startups. A whole library of automations connected to the systems of daily business like HubSpot and Monday — with approval controls before anything goes out. That way a small team delivers the workload of a much larger one.
Behind me stand this team and an international network of specialists between Cologne and the Gulf — videographers, developers, performance experts. Whoever brings me in doesn't get a lone operator.
In Cologne I learned that business happens between people. In Dubai, that speed is a decision. I work with both.
“AI projects rarely fail on the technology. They fail because no one on the leadership team has ever built something like it themselves. I have.”
Where I come from
A Cologne-based digital agency with a core team and freelancer pool, HubSpot Gold Solutions Partner, BAFA-accredited.
This is where I learned what I bring as an interim manager: developing strategy at the whiteboard, winning people over to it, and leading delivery through to the result. Client projects from MediaMarktSaturn to ERGO, teams of internal staff and external specialists — and AI systems that carry the operation.

Areas of expertise
I identify the use cases with real leverage, build the processes behind them and take them into production — with approval controls before anything goes out.
Running in production, not as a pilot
Marketing as a revenue function: go-to-market and ICP definition; performance, SEO and AI visibility as steerable channels; CRM as the backbone through to forecast. Sales enablement, to me, means marketing that sales actually uses because it delivers pipeline.
ERGO +240% leads · Rockethome 10× pipeline
Seven years of full accountability for results: building and leading teams, managing vendors, owning budgets, establishing processes that hold up without me.
Internal teams, external partners, one delivery system
Role fit
An open comparison against the role profile — because you'll assess it anyway: where the leverage of the role lies, I deliver above target. Where enterprise scale counts, I'm growing into it. Both belong on the table.
Core strength · Solid, developing
Qualifications
Vetted by the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) and listed as an eligible business consultant — including the consultant vetting procedure.
Repeatedly in formal tenders from a state ministry and public-sector bodies in NRW — the toughest fitness check: references, concepts, cost-effectiveness, externally assessed.
Certifications in inbound, content, SEO, social media and CRM — plus Werk von Morgen as a HubSpot Gold Solutions Partner with a dozen live implementations.
A library of automations connected to the systems of daily business. I work with it — research, content, proposals and analyses all run through it, every day. With approval gates and governance under the EU AI Act.
Tools & network
Senior project steering, to me, means choosing the right tool, rolling it out across the company, driving adoption — and bringing along the people who work with it.
Rolled out systematically — in my own agency and in client companies, including process design, migration, training and governance:
In daily use — AI, analytics, ads, creative and outbound:
Built over years, mobilised in days. Whoever brings me in gets access to a proven network:
That's the answer to the scaling question: I don't grow through headcount — I mobilise.
Track Record
| Client | Result | Context |
|---|---|---|
| MediaMarktSaturn / O2Electronics retail · Enterprise | +30% footfall | Problem: High brand awareness but weak local visibility of individual stores and stagnating footfall. Work: Multi-year support for several stores — multichannel campaigns for store openings and rebranding, seven days each across the regional catchment. Result: +30% footfall on site, +1.2M impressions, +450% interactions; Darmstadt reached 921,000 people, CPM below €1.10. My role: service portfolio and concept as director, alignment with the management boards, steering organisers and video teams through to publication. |
| ERGOInsurance · Enterprise | +240% leads | Problem: Waste in lead generation and unclear quality of inquiries in the sales process. Work: Rebuilt performance marketing — audiences, creatives and funnel aligned to qualified inquiries, tracking through to close. Result: more than 240% more qualified leads per client in the first quarter. My role: strategy and campaign ownership, steering the delivery team, reporting to sales leadership. |
| RockethomeIoT / Smart Home · SaaS | 10× pipeline | Problem: An explanation-heavy SaaS product with no reliable access to decision-makers in target companies. Work: Account-based marketing on LinkedIn with HubSpot as the CRM backbone — target account selection, content track, lead routing, pipeline reporting. Result: sales pipeline grown tenfold, significantly higher qualified traffic. My role: owned the ABM concept and CRM architecture, set up marketing–sales collaboration. |
| ICLChemicals · Enterprise | +100% visibility | Problem: Visibility lost after a relaunch; a technically complex product world with no findability in search. Work: SEO relaunch with information architecture, technical optimisation and content built along the subject areas. Result: organic visibility and user numbers doubled (+100%). My role: owned strategy and prioritisation, aligned with IT and the business unit, steered SEO and content specialists. |
| AdapteoModular construction · B2B industry | Qualified leads | Problem: Long investment cycles and a defined set of target companies — classic reach campaigns fell flat. Work: Account-based marketing across LinkedIn, Google and Meta — audience lists, video reel, landing page and ads as one track. Result: high-quality leads from the defined target accounts instead of scattered reach. My role: campaign concept and creative direction, steering production and media buying. |
| RheinCargoLogistics · Public sector | 14-month engagement | Problem: A municipally owned logistics company with no digital visibility and no measurable marketing steering. Work: Online marketing strategy over 14 months — landing page, SEO and content, Google Ads, tracking dashboard. Result: measurable steering established, engagement worth €65.8k delivered in full (2024–2025). My role: the bid in the public tender, strategy ownership and steering of the project team through to completion. |
| TrendigIT training (ISTQB) · B2B | +110% visibility | Problem: An explanation-heavy training offering, weak click-through despite rankings (CTR 0.7%) and too few reliable inquiries from the digital channel. Work: Inbound marketing as an end-to-end engagement — content architecture and pillar content with real depth, SEO relaunch, LinkedIn and Google ads to defined audiences, a lead path into the CRM; AI search visibility (GEO) added afterwards via schema markup and citable fact blocks. Result (24 months): organic visibility +110%, referring domains from 163 to 350, rankings consolidated (334 → 258 keywords with rising traffic), core topic from page 3 to page 1, a reliable stream of inquiries from inbound plus paid, follow-on engagement won. My role: owned strategy and channel mix, steered the content and ads team, measurement and client leadership at managing-director level. |
A selection from enterprise and B2B engagements; 100+ companies supported across B2B and SME. All figures documented; references on request. Repeat bidder in public tenders (including a state ministry and public-sector bodies in NRW) · HubSpot Solutions Partner · BAFA-accredited.
Process
45 minutes. You describe the situation, I ask the questions an operator asks. No pitch, no slides.
I name the three concrete levers with the greatest effect on revenue and efficiency for your company — with numbers, not buzzwords.
If task, chemistry and expectations fit, I start within two weeks — first measurable results in the first four. And an engagement only ends, for me, when documentation, enablement and handover are in place: your team carries on without me.
FAQ
They take temporary responsibility not just for planning AI and marketing automation but for putting it into production: prioritising use cases by ROI, connecting systems like HubSpot, building processes, enabling the team. Unlike classic consulting, an interim manager delivers not a concept but a running system — with full operational leadership responsibility and an orderly handover at the end of the engagement.
An interim CMO fits when impact is needed quickly: a vacancy in marketing leadership, a transformation phase, or when AI initiatives need to move from pilot to production. Start within two weeks, first measurable results in four. A permanent hire is the right path when the role is to be filled for the long term — both are possible, and the decision is made together in the first conversation.
Around 95% of GenAI pilot projects never reach production. The reason is rarely the technology, almost always the execution: no prioritisation by ROI, no approval and quality gates, insufficient adoption in the team. The difference lies in designing AI use cases for production from the start — with governance under the EU AI Act, clear processes and people who use the system every day.
Engagements are possible from September 2026, across the entire DACH region and the Gulf (including the UAE). Cologne and Dubai serve as bases; remote and hybrid are possible depending on the engagement. Languages: German, English, Turkish and Kurdish.
